Privacy notice
Last updated: June 2026
This notice explains how BaseIQ ("we", "us") handles personal data you give us through this website. We keep it plain, and we collect only what we need to help you.
What we collect
When you contact us by form, phone or email, we may collect:
- Your name and the organisation you represent, where relevant.
- Contact details: phone number, email address and the location or postcode of the work.
- Details of your enquiry: the trade, urgency, sites and anything you choose to tell us.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a callout, survey or contract conversation.
- To deliver and document the work you ask us to carry out.
- To keep records we are required to keep, including for compliance and accounting.
Our lawful bases are typically your consent (when you submit an enquiry), the performance of a contract with you, and our legitimate interests in responding to and managing enquiries.
How it's stored and shared
Enquiries currently reach us by email and are held in our business systems. As we grow we will use a customer relationship management (CRM) system to manage enquiries and work; this notice will be updated to reflect that. We do not sell your data. We share it only with the people and suppliers needed to carry out your work, and where the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and contract records only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal and accounting obligations, after which we securely delete or anonymise them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at hello@baseiq.co.uk.
